Taping and Mudding:
- Apply drywall tape over the seams between the drywall sheets.
- Spread joint compound (mud) over the tape using a taping knife, feathering the edges outward.
- Let the mud dry completely, then sand the seams smooth and apply additional coats of mud as needed.
Sanding and Finishing:
- Sand the seams and any rough spots until they are smooth and flush with the surrounding drywall.
- Wipe away dust with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Apply primer to the drywall to seal the surface and prepare it for painting or wallpapering.
