Mudding & Taping
  1. Taping and Mudding:

    • Apply drywall tape over the seams between the drywall sheets.
    • Spread joint compound (mud) over the tape using a taping knife, feathering the edges outward.
    • Let the mud dry completely, then sand the seams smooth and apply additional coats of mud as needed.
  2. Sanding and Finishing:

    • Sand the seams and any rough spots until they are smooth and flush with the surrounding drywall.
    • Wipe away dust with a damp cloth or sponge.
    • Apply primer to the drywall to seal the surface and prepare it for painting or wallpapering.
